Teaching 20 to tie Tassels

On a cold July 13 morning, an SIB member conducted a skill-development programme for 20 women at Siddapura. She followed it with a talk on management for below-poverty line women and also enhanced their craft of making saree tassels, so that they could make a quick sell.

At the end of the programme, each woman got a certificate for completion of the course. The trainer promised to conduct a follow-up talk and undertake the next-level training session in August.

It was an enlivening day. The productive course by the SIB Initiatives team was a collaborative ith the National Council of Women in India as well as the Lion’s Club.
